  • $50 (including VTLA membership)
  •  $40 (part-time TL’s, 60% or less, includes VTLA membership)
  • $40 (out of district)
  • $25 first time TL’s (membership and wine if free)

University Hill Secondary School

Winter Tonic is an annual mini-conference where Vancouver teacher-librarians have the opportunity to attend workshops, network, and support each other through professional conversations.

The evening includes two workshops, dinner, wine and mingling with other teacher librarians.

First Session   5:00 to 5:55pm

  • Adult Reads: Deb McVittie of 32 Boo
  • French Picks: Evelyne and Florence share their most recent top picks – Les Coups de Coeur
  • Literature Circles with Chris Evans (Tyee TL) and Celia Broggan (Quilchena TL)
  • Book Creator with Jordan Covert (UHill Elementary TL): BYOD with with Book Creator and art apps (Doodle Buddy or Wasabi Paint)

Second Session   6:00 to 6:55

  • Adult Reads with Deb McVittie of 32 Books
  • Steps Towards your own Virtual Learning Commons with Hilary Montroy (Gladstone TL)
  • Working Collaboratively with your Colleagues: Carmen Yamashita (Bayview TL)
  • Aboriginal Education in an Urban Context: Starleigh Glass of FNESC

Dinner 7:00 to 8:00 pm
